Our latest trip in 2019 brought us to Stockholm, Sweden's Capital. It was my first time spending proper time in a Scandinavian country and as such, I wanted to do as many things possible in the short time frame we had.
On the first day, we visited the Nobel Prize Museum, which showcased past Nobel Prize winners as well as other related memorabilia. Each Friday, the Museum is free and so we didn't have to pay any entry! Afterwards, we went home to our Airbnb, had some dinner and called it a night.
The next day, we made our way to the city center of Stockholm where we visited a food court/market with one of the city's highest rated fish restaurants. I would say the food was good, but we didn't try their signature dish, the fish soup. Afterwards, we went to a place called Skansen, an open-air museum showcasing Swedish History as well as a Zoo, showcasing animals of Scandinavia. I think the place was certainly worth it and I would definitely recommend going there! We continued walking around the same island, Djurgården, exploring some of the nature before making our way back home for the day.
On our last day, I got up early to take some pictures of the sunrise above Stockholm city. Afterwards, we went to the famous Vasa Museum, which houses the world's only, fully intact 17th century battle ship.
