This is a two hour class by Steve Antonuccio on Major General Maurice Rose, the highest ranking Jewish American and American officer to be killed in action in Europe during WWII on March 30, 1945, near Paderborn Germany. It is also about his good friend General Elwood Ricardo "Pete" Quesada, considered the Father of Close Air Support and the highest ranking Hispanic officer in the Army Air Corps. This class was for the Pillar Institute of Colorado Springs. General Rose was the son of a Rabbi and grew up in Denver, Colorado. He dropped out of East High School to join the army and lied about his age to qualify to become a commissioned officer to fight in WW1. During WWII he earned the nickname "The Immaculate Killer on Nazis" (When you talk for two hours you are bound to make a few mistakes. One mistake I made was that I said that General Rose replaced General Leroy Watkins to take over the 3rd Armored Division, he actually replaced General Leroy Watson, who went on to be the mayor of Beverly Hills in the early 1960's.. I also misspoke and said General Rose's grandchildren were not Christian, I meant to say they are not Jewish and in fact they do practice Christianity. My apologies.)
