In 1901 Charles Schwab ordered the Loretto from the Pullman Company. The Loretto is maned after Schwab's home town in Pennsylvania. The Loretto; has two bedroom's with an adjoined bath with Italian Marble tub, sinks, and toilets, two pull down sections, Pantry and Dining room, general toilet and Porters room with plumbing. She has Victorian era furniture with Cuban mahogany walls with Gothic designs and tiffany glass. At the time of construction she was worth $40,000 dollars. At the time her builders called her the "Finest Pullman Built", she still is. She was replaced by another car in 1917 and renamed Bethlehem. Then in the 1930's she was no longer needed and sold to the Lancaster and Chester Ry, where she was used as an office and guest cottage. By the 1970's she was worse for where and by 1977 the Lancaster and Chester donated her to the museum. She was fully restored in 1983 by the NCTM.
