2019 Acura Honda NSX Launch Control & Track Driving (Exhaust Sound)
We're pretty big fans of the Acura NSX around here. Such big fans that it was named our 2019 Performance Car of the Year. It's the first car that took the hybrid tech of hypercars like the Porsche 918, LaFerrari, and McLaren P1 and translated it to something that didn't cost more than $1 million. What you got was a mid-engined supercar with a 3.5 liter V6 with twin-turbos, three electric motors, real torque vectoring, all-wheel drive, and a nine speed dual clutch gearbox. It looks futuristic, drives with more involvement than you'd think, and is one of the coolest sports cars you can buy today. And now, for 2019, Acura is updating the NSX. It's not all-new. It's also not the rear-wheel drive NSX Type R that we've been hoping for. Instead, it's a further refinement of pretty cool car. The powertrain and its 573 horsepower remain the same. But there are software changes to make the NSX more playful and controllable. There are also chassis and tire changes that have made it two seconds quicker at Japan's Suzuka Circuit, which might be the furthest track from Marysville, Ohio, where the NSX is built.
