1. Bief History.
The Panther KF51 is a main battle tank developed by the German company Rheinmetall. Announced on June 13, 2022 at Eurosatory 2022 in Paris, France.
KF stands for "Kettenfahrzeug", i.e. tracked vehicle. The hull is based on the Leopard 2, but the turret design is different.
2. An MBT With a Future Concept.
The company claims that this MBT is the world's first digital battle tank concept, and is fully designed for future combat.
3. KF51 Panther Specifications.
Although there is not much detailed information regarding this new German tank, it is certain that the KF51 Panther weighs around 65 tons, with a larger gun and 130mm caliber. The KF-51 Panther is 50 percent more powerful than its predecessor.
The Panther only required a crew of three (commander, gunner,
and driver), as the cannon reloading was fully automatic, but a fourth
person could still be brought in as a specialist or platoon commander.
