The Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar People may be banned. The so-called public prosecutor of the Russian- occupied Crimea Nataliya Poklonska insists Mejlis is an extremist organization.

According to her, the Tatar leaders could arrange the numerous subversive actions. The Mejlis members claim it is a biased accusation, and call onto the United Nations to interfere in the situation.

The International Federation for Human Rights is sure - forbidding the Mejlis can result in mass persecution of Crimean Tatars on the peninsula. The court session will start on March 10, since the defence insisted they did not have time to study the case.
