This is a mother and her newborn infant who live in the Bukit Tigapuluh National Park - The Thirty Hills - is a 143,223 hectare National Park in eastern Sumatra, consisting primarily of tropical lowland forest, largely in Riau province, with a smaller part of 33,000 ha in Jambi province.
Supporters enable The Orangutan Project to carry out habitat conservation, orangutan rehabilitation and release in this park. We work along side many other organisations such as Frankfurt Zoological Society (FZS).
