The Battle of Puebla was a case of the underdog coming out on top. The Mexican Army faced down an existential threat to their Republic and their independence, the French Empire. They did not blink. Despite the opinion of the world being in France's tavor, the Mexicans at Puebla proved that passion and dedication to your cause can beat all odds. The day of this mighty victory is now remembered in Cinco de Mayo.
