The most common problems for tilt and turn windows are caused by accidentally pressing a trigger button on the window frame. Usually, after cleaning.

Tilt and turn windows have a double-opening mechanism that allows you to open the window and to select a tilt position.

If they are not operated correctly, they easily become jammed:

• The window becomes stuck in the tilt open position.
• The window feels ‘jammed’ and won’t close.
• The window drops and tilts to one side and won’t close.

NEVER try to close the tilt and turn window if it’s jammed or if you need to force it. You can irreparably damage the double-hinged mechanism on the window.
