The New World expansion comes with a ton of new Armor perks that reduce damage taken. In addition to the current perks Shirking Fortification, Shirking Heals, Elemental Aversion and Physical aversion, there are various new options. Health simply increases your total health. Grit ward reduces damage while having grit. Enchanted Ward reduces damage taken from all basic attacks. Old perks like Shirking Heals also receive buffs. This makes it very difficult to decide the right perks for your armor. In this video, we'll look at the damage reduction of these various perks under different circumstances. We look at heavy, medium and light equip load. We'll compare the EHP under different circumstances, like with different base damage reduction or Fortify. Resulting from that, we try to determine what the BiS armor perks for different loadouts could be.
