The Audio-Technica AT2020 cardioid condenser microphone is a great budget choice for recording vocals, acoustic guitars and other acoustic instruments. The AT2020 is a microphone that is popular for recording. It has a high SPL and wide frequency response. It is a side-address microphone, meaning that you speak into the side of the mic, rather than the top.
