The Rode NT1 is a great budget friendly condenser microphone that comes with all the accessories you need to get started recording. It has a very warm and natural sound which compliments most voices very well, making it perfect for spoken word applications such as Voiceover, Content Creation. In addition, this a great mic to record singing vocals and acoustic instruments like the guitar, piano and drums.

The new Shure SM7DB is the latest version of the of one of the most iconic dynamic mics of all time, the Shure SM7B. It now includes a built in active preamp with up to 28db of gain to power the mic, eliminating the need for external signal boosters such as a cloud-lifter or FET HEAD. But most importantly, the SM7DB is less expensive than buying the SM7B + a cloud-lifter.
