This video will show you a very simple and easy way on how to cook Chicken Inasal or in other part of the globe it is called Rotisserie Chicken.
This is a Filipino recipe but the taste can be internationally.
I will give you some tips and my full recipe on how it will become more delicious. Some adjustments can be made depending upon your own taste.
Chicken Inasal
Ingredients
2 pcs of lemon or 10 - 13 pcs calamansi
1/2 tsp of black ground pepper
3 tbsps of vinegar
1 bulb of garlic (crushed)
1 cup of soy sauce
3/4 cup of brown sugar
1 1/4 cup of ginger (chopped)
1 whole chicken (washed and cleaned)
Tips
- use 1 lemon first and taste it before using the 2nd lemon. Some of the lemons are very juicy but some are not. You need to put the lemon according to your preference
- it is better to rub the mixture in the chicken skin for about 1 - 2 mins so that it will absorb well
- using lemon grass (tanglad/salay) is better than using the lemon peel. I just use the lemon peel because there’s no available lemon grass in my place
- put the chicken in the middle of the oven NOT on the very top to avoid burned chicken skin.
- when marinating chicken make sure that the mixture is covering the whole body
- if you are using degree Celsius use 150 degrees
