This is my entry for the 60 Second Storyline portion of the Ultimate Vidder Contest.
AU. Cedric and Hermione both attend Hogwarts. The year of the Tri-Wizard Tournament, they get to know each other better and become friends. Their relationship progresses, and Hermione is worried about Cedric being in the tournament. However, she gives up on getting him to quit and, instead, helps him by doing such things as tipping him off about the dragons in the first round (which she learns from Harry). We all know how it ends.
