This animation goes over what acidic and non-acidic LPR is compared to the more common GERD type reflux. LPR stands for laryngopharyngeal reflux. Patients who suffer from LPR typically only have throat symptoms including chronic throat clearing, mild intermittent sore throat, chronic cough, throat lump sensation (globus), constant phlegmy throat, etc.
