If you’re a beginner succulent grower trying to build up your collection with exciting succulents it may make sense to get a bunch of mixed succulents seeds. And the photos some sellers advertise certainly seem enticing. But not all is as it seems.

The murky world of succulent seeds can sometimes turn out to be a scam, especially on shopping websites. The amazing photos are not real, photoshopped or completely made up. It is hard to believe but this has been going on for years.

I often get succulent seeds as it can be a super fun way of expanding the collection and many of the plants available as seeds are not usually in nurseries or shops. But scams are aplenty.

In this video I’ll show you what to look out for to spot the fakes and how legitimate sellers usually present their products.
