Van Halen played London Ontario only three times, May 16, 1979, July 17, 1980 and August 5, 2015. To see Van Halen on any other tour it meant a two hour drive to Toronto --which I did happily many times. When Van Halen announced their 2015 tour dates and London was on it... I made plans to make the most of it. This was an outdoor general admission show so I was determined that I would get as close to the stage as possible and try to record the sound check. Little did I know at the time that my recording would sadly be one of the last VH sound checks ever recorded. The full unedited 30min plus recording has been on my channel ever since 2015, but I've decided to showcase the four songs that are on it separately, Drop Dead Legs, Runnin' with the Devil, Light up the Sky and a version of Panama that has to be heard to be believed. The 30min video contains the four songs as well as countless gems of Eddie, Alex and Wolfgang noodling.
