This years' American Diabetes Association Outstanding Scientific Achievement Award Jiandie Lin has been recognised for his breakthroughs in our understanding of the signalling pathways involved in obesity and diabetes. Dr Lin took us through some of his key signalling molecule discoveries, as well as the concept of metabolic microenvironments, leading the way for new treatments in diabetes patients through reprogramming of the signalling system.
