We review the Manfrotto Be free travel tripod we purchased from Amazon to use with our Canon S120 camera.
We plan to take so long exposure night pictures and some slow motion video, and both require a steady tripod.
Available with either carbon fibre or aluminium legs, we went for the slightly heavier aluminium. The light and compact design makes it fast to set up and easy to use. Compact in size, it weighs only 1.1 kg (2.4 lbs) for the Carbon Fibre version, and 1.4 kg (3 lbs) for the Aluminium. Thanks to its unique mechanism, when folded the tripod is only 40 cm (15,7in) long. The Quick Release Adaptor enables a very tight packing of the foldable legs. The padded bag makes it easy to carry around. The new aluminum ball head, it's strong, fast and simple to operate. Supplied (eventually) with the Manfrotto 200PL Quick Release Plate.
