UHF band antenna on the radio. Antenna Specialists 450 MHz antenna BNC connector. Triple conversion superhet receiver strong intermod rejection. UHF band is full of very strong signals, some of them transmitting continuously. Double conversion receivers have more issues with images and intermod getting past the RF front end and causing the annoying sounds like there’s a DMR digital voice or other digital signal on every other frequency effect. The Pro-404 / Pro-649 / GRE GRECOM PSR-100 and Whistler WS1010 WS1010WA scanners all suffer from this.
The Pro-135 is, like a handful of other Radio Shack scanners (Realistic, RadioShack) made by and was designed by Uniden. Most of the RadioShack and Realistic scanners were manufactured by GRE, including the famous Pro-2006, Pro-2005, Pro-96, Pro-106, Pro-95, Pro-92, Pro-43 and so on.
Uniden examples include the Pro-2052 scanner, Pro-2050 scanner, the Pro-135 shown, the Pro-162 radio scanner, the Pro-433 scanner, the Pro-528 scanner and others (such as the Pro-83 NASCAR race scanner).

The 25-28 MHz band is considered another band, since the receiver defaults to AM mode for listening to the 11 meter 27MHz CB radio band 26.965 MHz - 27.405 MHz. Thankfully, the 25.000 MHz - 28.000 MHz band and 28 MHz - 54 MHz band is 5 kHz steps on this receiver (compare with, say, the Pro-651 scanner or Pro-106 I believe - others that default to 10 kHz channel steps on 29-54 MHz or 25-50 MHz 29-50 MHz 30-50 MHz band 30MHz band NFM NBFM FM-N FMN narrow band FM narrow AM 8 kHz bandwidth 16 kHz bandwidth Baofeng receive performance VHF UHF 9K10F3E 8K50F3E 16K0F3E UV5R open transmit mod hack prepper militia radio comms frequencies CB radio channels list what is the illegal CB channel
