INGREDIENTS
1cup rice powder
2cups water
1tbsp channadal
1/2tbsp salt
PREPARATION
Take a kadai add 2cups of water, salt, channa dal and boil , when bubbles turns up add rice powder
Stir while adding rice powder (so no lumps are formed ) till it becomes little thick paste
Off the flame and let it get slight cooled
Now take the paste and make balls.Apply water to ur palms so it will not stick to your hands
Steam the balls for 10 to 15 mins in steamer or in idli plate. Apply ghee/oil to the plate before you steam.
Wet your fingers and check whether its cooked (if u feel sticky to ur fingers steam again.)
Off the flame and take out the KUDUMULU .
Different regions do in different styles .I have done this in Andhra style
This is mainly cooked on Ganesh Chathurdi festival
