The health benefits of soy beans and how to use them is what I will be sharing with you today. I will share 2 recipes using whole soy beans. If you think soy is dangerous for your health then watch this video to learn the facts.
HOW TO COOK SOY BEANS IN THE INSTANT POT
1 1/2 cup rinsed soy beans that have been soaked over night
1 tsp salt
6-8 cups water
After soaking the soybeans overnight be sure to rinse will and place in your instant pot with the salt and water. Make sure there is at least an inch of water covering the soy beans,
Cook on manual for 30 minutes and let natural release for 10 to 20 minutes then quick release. After cooking discard the cooking water and rinse the soy beans. Now they are ready to be used in whatever recipe you like. You can add as is to stir fry, salads, soups etc.
CRISPY SOY BEANS
1 1/2 cup cooked soybeans
1 tsp each smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp cumin
1 tsp coconut aminos
Lay out a clean kitchen towel and spread cooked soybeans evenly out in a single layer. Lay another towel over them and pat dry. You want to remove any excess moisture, if they are little damp that is okay.
Place in a bowl. In another small bowl add all the dry spices and mix well.
Next add the coconut aminos to the soy beans and stir. Next add the spices and mix well making sure all soy beans are well coated.
Add soy beans to your air fryer basket and shake to get into a single layer.
Air fry @ 400 degrees for 10 minutes. Shaking half way through.
Now you can add to your salads, bowls, or just eat as a snack.
** oven instructions. same as above and then lay out on a lined baking sheet , 30 minutes in a 400 degree oven to dry them out, then take them out and give then a shake then back in for another 10 minutes or until your desired crispness
VEGGIES SALAD WITH CRISPY SOY BEANS
To a bowl add whatever veggies you like.
I used left over corn that was cooked and the rest were raw veggies. Orange and red pepper, red onion, romaine lettuce shredded carrots, cherry tomatoes and cucumber. Top1/2 cup crispy soy beans and 3-2-1- dressing.
