In this two minute step-by-step tutorial, we learn how to use the merge shapes tool in PowerPoint.
You can find the merge shapes tool by selecting multiple shapes, then clicking format and then merge shapes.
There are four merge shapes options:
1. Union: Combines the two shapes and turns them into one shape.
2. Combine: Combines the two shapes but deletes any areas that overlap.
3. Fragment: Removes any overlapping areas from the original two shapes and turns the overlapping areas into a new shape.
4. Intersect: Keeps the overlapping areas only, deletes everything else.
5. Subtract: Removes any overlapping areas from the bottom shape, deletes the top shape completely.
