Learn how to fix a tear in your chainsaw protective trousers with Clogger
PLEASE READ: Make sure to never (ever) sew through the chainsaw protective fabric. Sewing through the chainsaw fabric may prevent the fibres from being pulled out in an accident resulting in cut through.
First, you need to check the tear. If there is a tear in the chainsaw protective fabric, and/or some of its fibres have been pulled out; the fabric may no longer be effective in stopping the chainsaw. If you have any doubts, just send us a picture on social media or through our website.
To repair your chainsaw trousers, you will need thread, a pair of scissors, and a needle.
First, you will bring the edges of the tear together by doing a standard stitch. Then reinforce your repair with an over stitch and finish up with a double or triple knot.
We advise checking that your repair is secured by pulling the fabric around it. All done!
But you may want to secure it even more, so it doesn’t snag on anything.
When buying a pair of Clogger trousers, you should have received fabric for repair in the box. This fabric should be used when repairing your garment.
Cut the fabric so it matches the size of the tear and sew along the spare fabric with a standard stitch. Secure your repair with a double or triple knot.
Your chainsaw trousers are now ready to be put to work again.
Well done!
