Monty Don will be joined by the Duchess of Cornwall for this week’s episode of Gardeners’ World. The royal joins the presenter in his own garden in Herefordshire, Longmeadow and she told Monty about her own aspirations to develop a woodland garden as well as revealing she had uninvited guests in her vegetable patch and eating her produce this year. Camilla told the BBC Two programme how mice and, in particular, voles had devoured her strawberries this year and eaten the asparagus roots she planted. Discussing the tiny rodent culprits, keen gardener Camilla said: "I'm very lucky I've got a big vegetable garden. “But you get the mice, the voles this year, all ate the asparagus roots and then they got into the strawberries, so you can never win, there's always something."
