Follow these steps to install a new firmware on your Canon EOS C70
- Make sure your battery is charged 100%
- Initialize Media on both SD Cards ( It will delete all data on your SD cards! so, back it up first! )
- Go to "System Setup" ( Wrench Menu), Tab 1
- Choose "Transfer Menu" and back up you camera settings to the SD card in slot B ( it will save you time when inputing your own settings after the update)
- Download the newest firmware from Canon website: [ Ссылка ]
- Transfer the "xxx.FIR" file to your SD Card A
- Put the SD card A in the card slot B (it has to be B!)
- Go to "System Setup" ( Wrench Menu), Tab 9
- Scroll to Firmware and choose Camera
- Update the firmware by choosing OK ( it may take some time so be patient)
- After restart set the date and time and Initialize Media to clean the SD card A
- Remove the SD card A and put the SD card B in slot B
- Go to "System Setup" ( Wrench Menu), Tab 1
- Choose "Transfer Menu"
- "Load" your camera Settings from SD card B back to your camera by choosing OK when "Overwrite settings" message appears.
