Eyüp Sultan Mosque, located in the Eyüpsultan district of Istanbul, on the shores of the Golden Horn, is not just a mosque, but a holy place of visit. The mosque forms a part of Eyüp Sultan Complex.
Eyüp Sultan Mosque, located opposite Eyüp Sultan Tomb, has a rectangular plan and protruding mihrab. The central dome rests on arches of six columns and two beams. There is a half dome around it, Eyüp Sultan tomb in the middle, a spring on the skirt of the sarcophagus, and a century-old plane tree in the middle of the courtyard.
