Urticaria or hives are red, flat swollen, itchy rash on your body. They can appear on any part on your skin in varying size and shapes. Urticaria appear because of an allergic reaction in your body, infection is a common cause of Urticaria. It can be a carious tooth or a sore throat. The other cause include worm infestation of your gut, insect bite, inhalation of pollen, can be seasonal, consumption of shell fish, eggs , milk and sometimes exposure to sunlight , exposure to water, to too much pressure. Heat and cold can also trigger Urticaria. Finding out the cause of Urticaria is a challenge, extensive allergy testing rarely helps, if the Urticaria lasts for more than 6 weeks, a detailed evaluation is needed. It is a better to keep track of your flare-ups.
