During World War II, the Women’s Airforce Service Pilots (WASPs) were the first women to fly for the United States military. However, they did not receive the credit, benefits, or veteran’s rights that their male counterparts did.
Now, women in the Air Force celebrate the WASPs as a pioneering force behind women’s equality movements in the United States armed forces.
There is still progress to be made, but we’ve come a long way. Happy Women’s Equality Day ❤️
