Gillian Friedman ('16), Business Reporter, The New York Times

Gillian Friedman is an award-winning investigative journalist. She was the recipient of David Carr Fellowship at The New York Times, where she worked as a business reporter. She was previously an investigative reporter for The Deseret News and an analyst at Goldman Sachs. She graduated first in her class from Whitman College in 2016.

Kelly Glass, Executive Editor, Black Parenting, Parents Magazine

Kelly Glass is a journalist whose work focuses on the intersections of parenting and health and race. She’s currently executive editor of Black parenting for the Parents magazine network, where she’s planning the launch of a new digital publication focused on Black families. Previously, she was an independent journalist with bylines in the Washington Post, the New York Times, National Geographic, Health magazine, and more.
