Last year I made a guide on how to find retro ar's when they were in short supply. Now that the market has healed and the price of many of these parts have fallen, I decided to revisit this market to see what has changed. I am not selling any firearms or their parts and that is NOT my intention for this video. My intention is to just show people how to save money (especially when certain companies are overcharging)
MORE TIPS
1. Your local gun store can be your best friend for finding old retro AR's
2. Police trade in carbines can be found for cheap from various sources
3. Reddit is definitely a cesspool but there is a secondhand market there that is undefeated (parts only no gun sales there)
4. Ebay is a good place to find old weapon lights and retro optics. It can be pricey though as that market is actually getting worse.
5. The hunt is part of the fun. If you're a real autistic cloner, this probably won't help you much. Lots of the legit colt stuff is harder to find.
Something I failed to mention that you should consider is matching M4 Feed Ramp uppers to a M4/Rifle extensions. Google "feed ramps AR15" or something similar to learn more about it. Matching is always best but long story short, "rifle" receivers with M4 barrel extensions work much better than M4 feed ramp uppers with a rifle extensions.
