Is @hennesandmauritz fooling customers with its misleading greenwashing initiatives?
Under its ‘Take Back’ programme, H&M customers can bring used clothes to any of their stores that can later be resold, reused or recycled.
Recently, a team of Swedish investigative journalists donated 10 H&M garments to several stores only to find out that 2 of them were ground down to fibers, 2 ended up at a second-hand wholesaler in Romania, 3 were dumped in the sea and the remaining were found in several areas of the Global South.
With fashion giants like H&M not reducing their carbon footprint, do you think shifting to sustainable and eco-friendly brands is the solution to this crisis?
