This town, Yoshidacho is in the southwestern part of Ehime Prefecture, Japan.
Ehime Prefecture is one of the largest producers of mandarin oranges in Japan, and it is said that this started around 1800 when seedlings were brought to Yoshidacho.
Today, mandarin oranges are still cultivated in this town, and because of its location on the inner part of the bay, hamachi (yellowtail) and pearls are farmed.
