Although not strictly obligatory, the consecration to the Virgin Mary has some external practices that, in addition to being useful, are highly recommended. Among them are, of course, the preparatory exercises for the act of consecration, explained with serenity and pastoral zeal in another class on the Treatise on True Devotion to the Blessed Virgin.
