Today I hit the road for a visit to Colonial Acres Coins in Kitchener, Ontario, the site of a very special event. The Royal Canadian Mint is on a tour across Canada, hosting a series of coin exchange events. Anyone can come and exchange their plain old Loonies and Toonies for the special (low-mint) colourized 2022 Loonies and Toonies. The lines were long, but luckily the sun was shining and it was a beautiful morning! And the Mint had a bit of a surprise for us, and we had the opportunity to get a little something unexpected, as well!
