Rover and Yangyang, with the help of the purple leaf token's frequencies, arrive at Qichi Village to discover a horrific tragedy had taken place. After defeating the Tacet Discords within, they both investigated the barren village's remains to infer the root cause of this desolation. Suddenly, Yangyang is unexpectedly cast away, leaving Rover alone, until a new enemy appears: Scar, an insane Overseer of the Fractsidus (a group of extremists known for fusing humans with TDs).
Scar wishes to reveal the truth of what happened to the village through medium of a short story involving a shepherd, a flock of white lambs, and a lone black lamb. With clues scattered throughout the village and the story's plot, Rover deducts that the village's demise was caused not by a TD outbreak, but from the corrupted village leader ruled over others by granting their wishes through sacrifices among themselves. An innocent, young village girl lost her life by revealing this cruel truth to the other villagers.
Scar tells this story and uses this sad sight of the village to sway Rover to join him, but Yangyang returns in time to free Rover from this illusion. With her success, Scar retreats and leaves Qichi Village, and, after reflecting on what they've encountered here, so do Rover and Yangyang.
