This song is based on the Bible book of Jonah, chapter 1, verses 1 through 3.
Jonah was not unique in running from God. There are numerous ways that we also run away from God: Disobeying God's instructions in the Bible, getting lost in addictions, pursuits, television, and/or merely intellectualizing our faith instead of also connecting to God relationally, to highlight a few.
Whatever stage of life you're in, God has a plan for you, a plan for good things, a plan with hope of a good future, SEE Jeremiah 29:11.
Whatever emotion or mindset you find yourself in, God wants you to be content. As we rely on God, using His strength, we gain contentment. READ Philippians 4:12-13.
Love God, and live for God, and He will work everything for good in your life, READ Romans 8:28.
Christ is your answer. Accept his gift of forgiveness; lean on Jesus. Gain life eternal, LIVE OUT John 3:16.
