My last submission to the @vgmegamix Pokemon Lofi Megamix, it's a lo-fi remix of the song heard at the end of the episode "Bye Bye Butterfree" from the Pokemon anime.
I grew up with the anime, but don't have a very clear memory of it all. I wanted to look through some music from the anime to see if I could pay tribute to my childhood through this megamix in any way. I thought Tears After the Cloudy Weather was just perfect. I decided to take a more cinematic approach to this than a lo-fi one (oops, I guess that doesn't make this lo-fi), and it paid off for me. The drums in particular I find to be really nice selections, complementing the orchestral instruments in their relative subtlety. I really enjoyed making this track - I got to reminisce a whole lot and I feel like I did a good job of conveying the emotions.
This is the stuff men cry to. Working on this track made me realize I needed to rewatch the Pokemon anime.
