Why does Out To Sea 1997 still not have a blu-ray release?
About the movie:
Retired friends Charlie (Walter Matthau) and Herb (Jack Lemmon) pose as dance instructors on a cruise ship in this comedy. The underhanded Charlie coaxes his recently widowed brother-in-law to join him on board without disclosing the two will need to dance. Instead Charlie promises there will be plenty of available and lonely women at sea. Once on the ship, Charlie's promise proves accurate, and he starts romancing the wealthy Liz (Dyan Cannon), while Herb falls for Vivian (Gloria DeHaven).

Out To Sea is a very funny comedy with an ensemble cast headlined by Walter Matthau, Jack Lemmon, Dyan Cannon, Gloria DeHaven, and Brent Spiner with supporting roles by Hal Linden, Elaine Stritch, Donald O'Connor, and Rue McClanahan. The movie was written by Academy Award Nominee Robert Nelson Jacobs (Chocolat). It was also directed by Martha Coolidge who directed Nicolas Cage in Valley Girl (1983) and Val Kilmer in Real Genius (1985).
This is one of many films pairing Walter Matthau and Jack Lemmon together. The film takes place on a cruise ship and the production values are high, with great scenery, and unlike most comedies the Dolby Digital 5.1 soundtrack sounds great. This movie needs to be on blu-ray.
