In my video this week, I speak with School of Leadership Assoc. Prof. Cheryl Heykoop about how her research will advance the specific cancer care needs of adolescents and young adults in BC. Dr. Heykoop was recently awarded a 2021 Michael Smith Health Research BC Scholar Award. She is the first Royal Roads researcher to receive such an honour.

Each and every one of us has been touched by cancer so it is especially gratifying to see one of our own here at Royal Roads doing such vital work.
