Brighton based THE SWING NINJAS evolved from a walkabout busking trio via 3 self-released cover version albums, to their current fully-formed 7-piece (or more) line-up of local jazz talent. A New Orleans influenced big-band whose first self-penned studio album of originals DO YA HALLELUJAH? (2015) showcased their quirky vision and on-point songwriting honed over many years working the streets, festivals and bars of Europe. Their new, 6th (!) album HONKY BARDO (2020) takes their swing sound a step further and adds the secret sauce of vintage Rhythm & Blues to the gumbo. The playing and musicianship is relaxed, understated and authentic as only years honing their craft in front of live audiences can create.
