I am so happy to have been taught this NO BITTER lime pickle recipe. You won't go to the store to buy pickles once you've made your own.
It goes fantastically well with homemade naan bread, Chapati, pappadoms, as a side to many rice dishes.( I love this pickle with Biriyani).
Ingredients
400g Lime
1/4 cup Salt (~ 1 tsp each lime)
1 tbs Fenugreek
1 tsp + 1/2 tsp Mustard
1/4 tsp Asafoetida
3 tbs Rapeseed Oil/ Vegetable Oil
3-4 Garlic cloves
3 tbs Kashmiri Chilli
1tsp sugar(optional)
Note:
** Wash the lime and dry them thoroughly.
** Please ensure that all equipment, spoons and ladles, knife and cutting board, and storage jars are dry and free of moisture, as moisture will shorten the pickle's shelf life.
** This can be stored for a long time at room temperature. Always use dry spoon to serve pickle.
