In 1929, the Swiss military decided that their handguns were costing too much money. They were redesigned, made cheaper, yet had to function at the same level of reliability. In the early 1930's, the Bern arsenal began shipping both the Luger and Revolver, both referred to as the M1929 Luger and M1929 Revolver. In all, about 18,000 M1929 Revolvers and 29,000 M1929 Lugers were produced. In this video, we review these beautiful pieces of Swiss engineering. We point out blueing, proofing, serial number ranges, and all the key points that any collector of Swiss military guns should know! And who doesn't love the world's only red grip military handguns?!?
