Cleveland weather temperatures will be closing in on record-breaking territory today with highs expected in the mid to upper 60s.
For context: The record high for this date is 67 degrees, while the average high is 38.
But these mild temperatures also come with very windy conditions across Northeast Ohio, which is why the National Weather Service has activated a Wind Advisory for multiple counties throughout Northeast Ohio.
Gusts up to 55 mph are expected.
"The entire area is going to be at least under that potential of power outages and wind damage," explains 3News meteorologist Hollie Strano.
We're also tracking our next system that will bring rain and possible thunderstorms to the region.
“It’s later tomorrow – and notice the snow on the back end of this thing – as we get into the potential of thunderstorms," Strano said. "Some of those could be strong to severe. This front is going to cut our numbers [temperatures] in half from Thursday into Friday."
The weekend looks great, though! We have some sunshine with 40s for Saturday and 50s for Sunday.
Here is your 3-day Cleveland weather forecast.
TODAY | Rain chance early. Windy. Much warmer. Some sun. Mid to upper 60s. Even warmer for areas south of Cleveland!
THURSDAY | Chances for rain and thunderstorms. Still breezy. Upper 50s.
FRIDAY | Much colder. Snow chances. Low 30s.
