I have had this happen to my clients who were completely innocent, but cops were responding to hearsay from a neighbor or another random person. Despite them doing nothing wrong, they stepped outside to answer questions and raised their voice at the cops, then got arrested. Don't let this happen to you!
My advice as a lawyer is to simply not answer the door. There are very few positive outcomes that come from talking to the cops.
