Playwright Wendy Wasserstein was born in Brooklyn, New York on October 18, 1950. She received the Tony Award, the Outer Critics Circle Award, the Drama Desk Award and the Pulitzer Prize for The Heidi Chronicles. Other plays included Uncommon Women and Others, Isn't It Romantic, The Sisters Rosensweig and An American Daughter. Wendy Wasserstein was interviewed by Mike Wood on March 16, 1993 in New York City.
