Michiel and Amber Vandeweert, from Belgium, suffer from progeria. They age prematurely which makes them look older but at the same time, they stay small and short in stature, which makes them look younger.
12 is the life expectancy for kids with progeria who, for the most part, die from heart attacks or strokes!
Michiel is 20 and Amber is 12. He is 8 years past the life expectancy limit.
The world's oldest survivor of progeria, Leon Botha who died in 2011, was a South African Painter and DJ and lived until 26 y-o.
Michiel is fond of car racing and has a very supportive group of friends while his sister Amber, like any 12y-o girl, enjoys social media and dancing.
