More than 40,000 solar panels make up the world’s largest solar plant in a refugee camp.
The plant in Za’atari refugee camp in Jordan was established by UNHCR and partners in 2017 and provides sustainable and free energy to more than 26,000 homes.
CEO of Australia for UNHCR Trudi Mitchell recently visited the plant and learned how it’s improved the lives of refugees living there.
