Golden Midas Blenny: Somewhat of an anomaly of the blenny family, the Ecsenius midas feeds on plankton rather than algae. What I love about these guys is their deep golden-yellow coloration and how they spend most of their time swimming in the water column rather than hiding. Sometimes feisty this fish will occasionally harass other small planktivores, dartfishes, and gobies. The Golden Midas Blenny maxes out at 3.9 inches and requires at least a 20 gallon aquarium with plenty of live rock with small holes for hiding. This is a peaceful easy care level reef-safe fish.
