In the previous video we saw the influence of the diode on the spark. When seeing this spark I realised that there was a voltage difference and thus we should be able to charge up a capacitor. This video shows you it's possible to charge up that high voltage capacitor from earth and the high voltage output from ignition coil. There's one thing I'm still searching for to understand and that's why in a device like from Don Smith it's possible to get power out. I understand the slower discharge of 50hz and the fast charging of capacitor on much higher frequency, but looking at this experiment you see it takes time for the capacitor to charge up. So I have problem in understanding on how the capacitor is charged "quick enough" to be able to do the slower discharge. The experiment is showing me that it's possible to charge up that high voltage capacitor, but it's always the time needed that prevents my complete understanding of getting power out.
